Tournament Rules & Guidelines

Uniform Requirements

  1. T-shirts worn by players must be the same color as the jersey.
    • Exception: If two teams have the same jersey color and the Padre Serra Tournament requires one team to switch jerseys on game day, that team may wear different color T-shirts under their jerseys.

Coaching Regulations

  1. Only the Head Coach is permitted to stand during play, and only within the designated coaching box.
  2. Technical Fouls:
    • If the coach or bench receives a technical foul, the Head Coach must remain seated for the rest of the game, except when calling a timeout.
    • If a second technical foul is assessed to the coach or bench, the Head Coach will be removed from the gym.

Game Play Rules

  1. Once a team leads by 15 points, no backcourt pressure is allowed.
  2. If a team leads by 20 points in the 4th quarter, the game clock will run continuously (except during timeouts).
    • The clock will return to normal timing if the lead decreases to 10 points or fewer.

Important Reminder

  • Teams are responsible for bringing their own basketballs for warm-ups.
